Drabble

Kathryn and B'Elanna stared at the console, trying to select gifts for their husbands. "Glow in the dark, you have got to be kidding!"

 "No, Tom assures me they were all the rage."

"Well I don't care, we're more civilized than that now."

"Hey," B'Elanna said, seeing the silk selections, what about these? "This silk is supposed to be very smooth."

They replicated their selections.

"B'Elanna, I think this one's defective."

"No, it's supposed to be that way."

"Are you sure? Wouldn't there be...containment issues?"

"Well, the 20th century materials were different. It's necessary."

Kathryn blushed as she pondered other possibilities.
