I'm a little late in mentioning this, but Captain N and the New Super Mario World is now out on DVD. In addition to the whole SMW series, this set contains the 3rd season of Captain N, which has the Final Fantasy episode, The Fractured Fantasy of Captain N. I took the opportunity to get some new, higher quality screens for the Captain N page.

1:12 AM FF2 Amazon Deal of the Day
I'm pretty late in mentioning this here, but I suppose somebody could notice in the next two hours. Final Fantasy II (PSP) is Amazon's video game deal of the day for Thursday, at only $19.99. It goes by Pacific Time, so there's an hour and 48 minutes left as of this post. I'll try to remember to post about it the next time something relevant is DotD.

Play-Asia is having a Summer Smoothie sale, where (almost) everything is 20% off. They have a lot of Final Fantasy items there, including games, soundtracks, books, toys, collectables, and DVDs. Most are Japanese, some aren't. The sale goes until Thursday, July 12.

Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition was released in Japan yesterday. Apparently it has an English language option too. Nice. Also available is the Asian version, which is slightly cheaper, but I don't know much about it.

Oh yeah, the S-E developed Mario Hoops game for the DS came out recently. In addition to the normal Mario crew, it features playable FF characters such as Black Mage, White Mage, Ninja, Moogle, and Cactaur.

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime comes out today. It's a comical tank battle game. You need to buy this, so S-E gets the idea that we want Dragon Quest games. (So few of them make it to the US, it's a shame.)

Oops, forgot to mention this a couple of days ago. The Japanese version of the Final Fantasy III remake for the Nintendo DS was released. There's also a bundle with an FF3-themed DS Lite. Pretty pricey though, I don't mind waiting for the US release (which seems to be November 14 at this point).
