Topography

Altitude: 3666 m* (12028 ft)
Latitude: 12°21' East
Longitude: 47°06' North

The Großvenediger is the fourth mountain in altitude in the Eastalps.
Approach: East: from the Gschlöss (Innergschlöss), South: From the Virgental (Prägraten a. G., recommended), North from the Ober- or Untersulzbach- or Habachtal.

*Remark: Because of new GPS measurements, the altitude of the Großvenediger resulted in 3666 metre (12028 feet), instead of 3674 metre (12054 feet). On this page I use the "exact", scientific GPS measurement, because I try to describe scientific topics here.
On the other pages of this site I did not use the exact measurements, so my information might be different.
