A breeze filled the air, blowing Buffy's hair all around. She quickly put up her hood on her sweat shirt-jacket and crossed her legs. She looked around the graveyard, twiddling the stake in her hand. Tonite wasn't an all active vampire slaying night and thehe cemetary was bare and to make it worse, she didn't have Angel there with her.

Buffy shook her head, trying to get that image out of her mind. She couldn't think about Angel... though she knew how badly she wanted him... but since they'd broken up, she'd never been the same. Some piece of her was taken.

She looked down at the ground and decided since there was a lack of supernatural in the graveyard tonite, that it was time to go Bronzin'.

Angel sat in a seat by a table near the back of the Bronze. He looked impatiently at the front of the Bronze. He just couldn't help not seeing Buffy, though he couldn't imagine how he would feel when he left Sunnydale.... if they survived the Mayor's acension. He kept his view on the enterance trying to see if Buffy had come in yet. She had been avoiding him and he wanted to know what was wrong, the real truth. What was she holding in?

Buffy walked in and looked around the Bronze and Angel's attention was put on her the moment she walked in. He had felt her presence and he started to get up, leaving his cappucino behind on the table, it was cold anyways. Buffy looked up to see Angel and she quickly turned around and started to head out of the Bronze.

"Excuse me, excuse me," Angel said, pushing his way through the kids.

He got out of the crowd and Buffy then started to walk even faster. He ran after her and grabbed her shoulder. She came to halt and looked back.

"What do you want?" she snapped. Then looked dowwn at the ground, ashamed how she had said that.

Angel looked at her. "I just want to know what's wrong."

"I think you know what's wrong," she said turning and walking out into the alleyway outside the Bronze, the music faded a little in the alley. Angel caught up to her.

"Are you some lost puppy? Quit following me. Shoo," she said and once again started walking.

Angel grabbed her shoulder once more, spun her around and took hold of both of her shoulders. He looked down into her eyes.

"What?! You wanna know what's wrong? Huh?" she asked him.

Angel let go of her and stepped back a little, he smiled only slightly, though the expression on his face wasn't his true one. "It would be nice..."

Buffy wasn't smiling, she'd felt cold and was cold. Not only cold in the literal sense, either. "You know what it is. You just dump me for God knows what reason, you show up at the prom and then just disappear. For all I know, you probably skipped town."

Angel moved closer to her and then turned his head, looking down the alleyway. He looked back at her. "I... I'm sorry. It's just.. god.. there are lots of things happening and..."

"And what?" Buffy stood there, her hands on her hips.

Angel didn't finish the sentence but went onto another thing. "Wouldn't I have said goodbye?"

Buffy looked at him, her cold expression gone, but it was still inside her. "Are you sure your ready for that now?"Angel gulped, a tear rolled down his face. He licked his lips and then looked back at her.

"I'm not sure..." he said and then turn to walk away. Buffy stepped forward, "Angel..." He turned around and looked at her. "Then don't leave..." she sobbed out.

She was crying very much and Angel walked to her. He put his arms around her, and patted her back and hushing her to calm down. Angel petted her head.

"Shhh... it's alright," he said with his soothing voice. "It's gonna be... it's gonna be alright."

She sniffed and looked up to Angel and he looked down and kissed her on the forehead. Buffy wiped away her tears and he asked her, "Are you okay now?"

Buffy caught her breath and nodded. Angel rubbed her back to calm her down a little more and to warm her up on the cold night. He looked into her eyes and fell into the gaze. He kissed her on the lips, and she passionatly kissed him back. She pulled away.

"I, I'm sorry."

"It's alright," he said and moved away. Buffy held on tight to him and Angel jokingly asked her, "Are you sure your ready to say goodbye tonight?" She let out a small laugh and let go of him. He smiled and kissed her once more on her lips. "I love you.."

"I love you too," Buffy replied as she watched him walked away.

His figure faded into the shadows and Buffy knew he wasn't leaving just yet. But a part of her, she realized, had already left with him. She looked at the ground and let the wind whip her hair around. She put it in a ponytail and walked away in the shadows on the way to her house. Buffy looked up to the stars and sighed. "Goodbye..."
