Kassandra Riley wandered the streets of Capeside looking for her father's house. "Aha! There it is!" She said outloud to herself. She walked up to the front door and knocked. A guy who looked about a year or two older then herself answered the door.

"Um, hi, I'm here to see my dad. Mitch Leery." Kassandra said.

"Your dad?" The guy said. "Um, come on in I'll get him." He opened the door wider and Kassandra walked in. "Dad!" the guys yelled upstairs. If this guy is calling my dad, dad then he must be my half brother Dawson that my mom was telling me about.

"What Dawson?" Mitch said coming down the stairs.

"This girl claims she is your daughter." Dawson said.

"Are you sure?" Mitch asked.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure you are my dad. My mom was Kathie Riley." Kassandra said.

"Kathie Riley? Whatever happen to her?" Mitch asked.

"She died. In a car accident two weeks ago. I was staying with my grandmother in Boston and I decided I had to come visit my dad. I'm truley sorry to spring this on you right now, but I had now where else to go. My mom told me all about you and that you couldn't be a part of my life because you had a wife and a son." Kassandra said.

"Dad, what is she talking about? Whats going on?" Dawson demanded.

"Dawson, when you were about a year old, I had an affair with Kassandra's mother Kathie. That would make you about 14 years old right Kassandra?" Mitch said.

"Yeah. Listen I know this is going to cause problems for your family so I will leave." Kassandra said.

"No Kassandra you will not leave. You can stay here with us." Mitch said just as Gail walked through the front door.

"Hi sweetie." Gail said to Mitch. "Hi, Dawson. Mitch, who is this girl?"

"This is my daughter, Kassandra." Mitch said.

"Your daughter? What the hell do you mean?" Gail demanded.

"Well Gail when Dawson was about a year old I had an affair with Kassandra's mother Kathie and Kathie passed away two weeks ago. I told Kassandra she could stay here with us seeing as how she is Dawson's half sister and my daughter." Mitch said.

"All right." Gail said.

"Dawson show Kassandra to the guestroom." Mitch said. Dawson and Kassandra walked upstairs.

"This is the guestroom where you'll be staying." Dawson said when they got to the room.

"Thanks Dawson. I really appreciate this." Kassandra said.

"No problem Kassandra. Hey um, do you have like a nickname or do you stick with Kassandra?" Dawson asked.

"Most of my friends back home called me Kassie or Kass." Kassie said.

"Okay Kassie. Well why don't we go to the IceHouse and you can meet some of my friends." Dawson said.

"Okay big brother." Kassie said and giggled.

"I like the sound of that." Dawson said. "Big brother." Dawson and Kassie left their house and walked to the IceHouse.

"Whose the girl with Dawson?" Pacey asked Jen as he saw Kassie and Dawson approaching. "She is hot."

"Down boy down." Joey said walking up behind them.

"Hey guys." Dawson said walking over to them. "This is my sister, Kassie."

"Sister?" Joey asked shocked.

"Yeah. See my dad had an affair when I was like a year old and he has a daughter. Her mom died in a car crash and we never knew about Kassie until today when she came to my house looking to meet her dad." Dawson explained.

"Oh. Well nice to meet you Kassie. I'm Jen." Jen said.

"And I'm Joey. And this creature is Pacey." Joey said.

"Hi." Kassie said.

"Ignore Joey. She is a bitter, cynical thing." Pacey said and Joey shot him a dirty look.

"Shut up if you want to live." She said.

"Do those two fight like this all the time?" Kassie whispered to Dawson.

"Yeah. Dawson whispered back. "Pacey's got a thing for Joey, but she turned him down."

"Pacey is really cute." Kassie said.

"He is a sex-crazed hormonal case." Dawson told his sister.

~~2 Days Later - Capeside High~~

Joey was at her locker putting books away when Pacey came up behind her.

"What do you want cretin?" She asked.

"Well Miss Josephine someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." Pacey said.

"Damnit Pacey, I am going to be late for work. Is there something that you want or did you just decided you were going to make my life a living hell?" Joey said angrily.

Pacey looked hurt. "I just wanted to know two things. Have you seen Kassie and Do you want a ride to the IceHouse?"

"I saw Kassie leave with Abby Morgan and Grant Bodine a few minutes ago. And sure Pace. Thanks." Joey said. They walked out of school together and we about to get in the car when Jen stopped them.

"Joey can I ask you something?" She asked.

"Uh, sure Jen." Joey said.

"Are you going out with Pacey?" Jen asked. Joey started laughing.

"No way. Where would you get a ridiculous idea like that?" Joey asked.

"I just heard from Nellie that you two are dating." Jen said.

"That is so not true. Sorry Jen, but I've gotta go. If I'm late for work I'm gonna have Bessie breathing down my neck all afternoon." Joey said and hopped into Pacey's car. Pacey drove to the IceHouse.

"Can you believe that absurd rumor about us?" Joey asked him, getting out of the car.

"Nope. I mean that would so never happen." Pacey said.

~~Later That Night - Dawson's House~~

Joey climbed through the window into Dawson's bedroom to find Dawson, Kassie and Pacey watching a movie.

"Hey guys." She said. "Whatcha watchin?"

"E.T." Kassie said. "I love this movie."

"It runs in the family." Joey said.

"Hey Kassie I've been meaning to ask you something." Pacey said.

"What Pacey?" Kassie asked.

"Would you like to go to a movie with me?" Pacey asked.

"Sure." Kassie said.
