Tori Amos's "5 1/2 Weeks" 1999 Tour
with Alanis Morissette
Ticket & Venue Information

Last Updated August 27, 1999

Most of the following was taken from Michael Whitehead's Web Site.
I reformatted and restructured the page to read well with any resolution monitor
but most of the the content is from his site. However, I have added information
and deleted extraneous comments that were not of significant instructive value.
This page will also come up faster since is uses no tables.
Most of the links have also been updated.

This is the page where I will quickly post the latest information on buying tickets for various shows on the Tori Amos/Alanis Morissette 5 1/2 Weeks Tour. You will also find information and links for all the venues currently listed on her follow-up Orbiting tour. Let's count on each other to keep us informed about how and when to buy tickets this tour!

Other Vital Resources For This Tour

The following web sites are other resources for keeping up with the latest ticket info:

I strongly recommend joining these two Mailing Lists for the latest ticket buying information. You can find details on how to subscribe on Michael Whitehead's Mailing Lists Page:

  • ToriTour mailing list - This list is maintained by Violet, and contains the latest information on her tour and ticket sales. It also often branching out to include special last minute reminders of Tori's TV, radio, and Internet appearances. This is probably you single best source for the latest breaking information. Michael Whitehead also assists Violet for the current tour. This was made neccessary only because of the unusual way the ticket sales are being handled for her these tours. Much of which is due to the involvement of Alanis Morrisette and her management.
  • ToriNews mailing list - a mailing list for Tori news ONLY. Some posts involve the important tour/ticket information.

    BART AND COUNTY CONNECTION

You may take BART (this train will be running every 20 minutes on that day and take about 45 minutes from SFO - Montgomery Street station, the current fare from SFO is $3.85 each way) to the Concord Station and then ride County Connection Bus #110 to the Pavilion. The bus fare is free of charge. The Concord Pavilion will reimburse County Connection for all riders (in the past there was a $1.50 charge per person in each direction). Buses begin running 2 hours before paid admission concerts up until show time. Buses start returning to BART within 20 minutes after the concert. BART schedules and station information are available at the BART web site. County Connection schedules and information are available at the County Connection web site. You may also catch th BART from the Oakland airport to the 12th St. Oakland City Center and then transfer to the route coming from SFO. The fare is slightly less from Oakland but nothing significant.

    From Joel Spitzer

April 29, 1999 - Besides adding a $2.75 fee to each ticket for parking, "The County connection bus shuttle between the Concord BART station (Bay Area Rapid Transit - it's essentially a train) and the Pavilion will be free. In the past, $1.50 was charged. An 'Early-Bird Car Pool Program' will give priority for cars with four or more people that arrive up to an hour before the show time. A third lane in both directions from Clayton Road to the Pavilion will be added. The Pavilion said in a statement, these changes are being made to reduce traffic congestion at events"

April 29, 1999 - I just wanted to give you a little background on the las vegas venue, what I know of it anyway. It's in the mandalay bay, a new casino in town, just opened 2-3 months ago...

...If anyone plans on coming to vegas from out of town to see that particular show, I recommend planning far in advance, as hotel rooms are hard to come by at a reasonably price here, especially for a friday night.

The Ticketmaster web site says that a special pre-sale online only promotion for Las Vegas tickets begins FRIDAY MAY 21 10AM-Pacific . There is a 6 ticket limit during the promotion. It is vital that you FIRST register at the alanisandtori.mp3.com web site in the VIP ACCESS section before you attempt to buy tickets for most shows. If you do not register under VIP ACCESS, your email address may be rejected at Ticketmaster! Sales to the general public begin on Saturday, July 24. (time unknown)
