How often do we wish more of the characters got air time on the show? How often have we complained that one character has taken over the show? Well, here's your chance to do something about that.

"What is mixed doubles," you ask? In tennis, mixed doubles is doubles tennis (two people on each side of the net), and the teams are male/female. This is similar. Write a story that features at least two different pairings.

So, put on your thinking caps and explore those possibilities. And now, the rules...

Stories are due by August 31st, at midnight GMT (4pm Pacific).
With luck, stories will be posted and reading will start September 4th
Voting starts September 5th
Voting ends September 30th

And the winners are... Read the entries again! Winners, right click and save to collect your prize. Thanks to all who entered and to all the voters. There were 21 stories, from 17 authors, and 44 voters this year!!! About the prizes, I only counted ties when there was an actual tie in points. Honorable Mention went to those who were quite close to the winners. And, in the end, I decided to also make some thank you graphics also. Also, there was one author who distinguished herself by winning or placing in all 4 categories.

The Bet Spazzo Summary: (Romance, PG) Tom and B'Elanna try to guess who will end up together a year after the crew made it home.
Mistletoe Khylaren Summary: (Romance, PG-13) Neelix and Chakotay plan a fete around the Christmas season with lots of good food, cheer, and, oh yes...mistletoe! Romance runs rampant and kissing ensues!
Beginnings Kadi Summary: (Romance, PG-13) A J/C relationship should always be the happy ending to every story. But without a beginning you can't have an end.
Echoes of Creation Tracy Austin Summary: (Romance, PG) This is a story with three POV's; Seven/Annika, Captain Janeway and B'Elanna Torres. All three of them go through similar changes when the most life-changing thing happens to them.

Best of Both Worlds Dakota Summary: (Drama, PG-13) Kathryn and Chakotay have been together for several years before they are infected on New Earth. This time they have to send more than just their ship and crew on without them.
Of Letters and Heartbreak Michelle Summary: (Drama, G) Takes place after "The Hunters". Two couples have a heart to heart before Neelix's celebration. FYI.. The J/C scene has changed a bit.
New Legend Spazzo Summary: (Drama, PG) Right after Hunters, Chakotay and Janeway discuss the possibility of a relationship until he and Torres crash their shuttle on an asteroid.
Pressure Mia Cooper Summary: (Drama, R) (J/C, J/P, K/T) In an AU where Chakotay is Voyager's Captain and Janeway the Maquis rebel: Merging two very different crews, the command team must find a way to reconcile their past relationship. Old betrayals, new attractions and the dangers of an unknown quadrant are brought into play when the one crewmember who belongs nowhere is caught up in an interstellar conspiracy.
